General Medical Council (GMC) - Conditions imposed on GP's Practising Certificate

< Business & Regulatory Crime Info

Re: Dr GM.

Our client, Dr GM, was investigated by the police about a matter of attempted murder. The allegation being that she had injected a patient with saline solution, knowing that the consequences would be fatal. During the investigation, matters were quite naturally brought to the attention of the General Medical Council who wished to impose severe conditions against our client's ability to practice as a medical doctor. We assisted our client by making our own representations, which in turn persuaded the General Medical Council not to restrict our client's ability to perform her duties.

The police investigation was concluded, and our client was not charged with any offence.
